    Is doxo a legitimate company?

doxo is a Seattle-based consumer financial technology company (founded in 2008), where, among other financial protection features, users can pay all of their bills in one place, using any device.

Through these services, doxo currently serves over ten million users who can make payments to over 120,000 local and national businesses (such as Verizon, Chase, Comcast, State Farm and hundreds of thousands of small billers that do not have online bill pay offerings).

doxo has partnerships with some of the industry’s biggest players that include Plaid, Apple and R.R. Donnelley and investors that include Jackson Square Ventures, MDV, and Bezos Expeditions.

  • What is doxo used for?

With doxo, you can pay all your bills from a single, secure account – for free via a linked bank account.

doxo offers additional services on top of free bill-pay including email bill-pay reminders, automatic payments, a mobile app, and more.

doxo has a premium subscription service, doxoPLUS. doxoPLUS is available for $5.99 a month and offers free all-in-one bill payment with a linked bank account, along with Five Essential Financial Protections that include: $1 Million Identity Theft Protection, Credit Protection, Overdraft Protection, Late Fee Protection, and Private Pay™ protection.

  • What does doxo cost?

doxo’s bill pay service is free to all users who link their bank account to their doxo account.

Those who don’t link their bank accounts may be charged a small fee (just like how they would with their billers or their bank) in order to process their payment.

doxoPLUS, doxo’s premium subscription based service, is available for $5.99 a month and offers free all-in-one bill payment with a linked bank account, along with Five Essential Financial Protections that include: $1 Million Identity Theft Protection, Credit Protection, Overdraft Protection, Late Fee Protection, and Private Pay™ protection.

  • Is doxo payments safe?

doxo’s security promise keeps your information safe, and automatic status monitoring keeps you informed.

When using doxo, your payment is monitored every step of the way throughout the payment process.

  • How do I get rid of doxo?

doxo users can cancel their doxo account at any time.

To cancel, sign into your account and click the link at the top of the page labeled “My Settings.”

From there, scroll down the settings page and click the “Cancel my doxo account” link at the bottom.

Confirmation is requested to verify this action was intended. Additionally, an email with cancellation confirmation will be sent to the registered email of the account for your records.

  • Does doxo charge a fee to pay a bill?

doxo’s bill pay service is free when you link a bank account to your doxo account. If you choose to use another form of payment (credit card, debit card, Apple Pay) you may be charged with a minimal processing payment fee.

This is because, just like with any biller or bank, it costs money to process payments. And since the service providers doxo uses to process payments do not pay doxo for the service we provide to the them, we charge a fee to cover the costs of operation.

  • Who owns doxo?

doxo is a privately owned company with investors that include Jackson Square Ventures, MDV, and Bezos Expeditions.

  • How long does a doxo payment take?

When you schedule a payment with doxo, you are shown the withdrawal date and the date your biller will receive payment.

Email notification is provided to the registered account email address when payment is scheduled—this email has the most accurate information regarding your payment at a glance.

A payment starts processing at 5:00 PM PST on the date it was scheduled and is delivered to your biller on or before the delivery date indicated for the payment.
(Note: The default payment completion date is usually the next available weekday after the processing period).

Billers then take two business days to post the payment to a user’s account.

Your payment should show as completed on the fifth business day after its original scheduled date. Therefore, a payment scheduled on a Monday will be posted the following Monday.
