Wyoming residents, overall, get a good deal on their bills: the state ranks 24th out of 50 states in terms of average monthly spending. Vermont ranks 23rd, with annual monthly expenses of $2,036, and Georgia ranks 25th, at $2,004.

Housing bill category drives Wyoming’s high monthly bill expenses

The average mortgage payment in Wyoming is $1,322, and average rent is $907, compared to the national average mortgage bill of $1,321 and rent bill of $1,191.

Other than housing-related expenses, auto loans are the most significant of the 10 most common bills for Wyoming residents. The average auto loan bill in Wyoming is $545 a month, compared to the national average of $467.

Compared to the national average, auto insurance bills are also a notably higher expense for residents of Wyoming. The average household in the state pays $220 a month for auto insurance, compared to the national average of $207.

Jackson tops the list of most expensive cities for Wyoming’s household bills
