City of Gig Harbor Launches on doxo; More than 5% of Residents Go Paperless in the First 90 Days

Biller Press Release

doxo Adds Mobile Bill Pay and Delivery; Expands Residents Self-Service and Interaction

City of Gig Harbor announced that in the first ninety days on doxo, more than five percent of residents have already connected and gone paperless. Residents can receive their bills and other account documents, organize account info and make payments for free directly from their free doxo account – online or via the doxo mobile app.

City of Gig Harbor residents can connect on doxo by going to doxo’s Bill Pay Network or by downloading the doxo iPhone or Android app.

“Our results on doxo in just the first three months have blown past even our most ambitious goals,” said David Rodenbach, finance director at City of Gig Harbor.  “Already more than five percent of our residents have connected and gone paperless on doxo. It’s just another way to help our residents simplify their lives, and, since every user on doxo is always paperless, we save on the costs of printing and postage to mail bills, which promotes our sustainability goals too.”

Each time a resident connects to City of Gig Harbor on doxo, their bills and account documents are automatically delivered directly to their free doxo digital file cabinet, accessed online or via the doxo iPhone and Android mobile app. Residents can also organize and manage their other provider accounts, like insurance, phone, cable, and banking – all in one place.  Documents can be printed or downloaded at anytime, and easily backed up to a user’s own hard drive or to Dropbox, Google Drive, or Box. Further, with doxoPAY, customers can quickly pay bills, or set up auto-pay with user-specified limits. Additionally, users can link their Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail or other personal email to automatically import and archive account related emails.

“City of Gig Harbor is off to a great start and we’re excited to see their growth on doxo is already exceeding their goals,” said Roger Parks, co-founder and vice president of provider success at doxo. “Launching on doxo boosts self-service, and adds an easy way to interact through the new iPhone and Android apps. It’s already benefiting the City’s bottom line by eliminating the unnecessary cost and waste of sending traditional paper bills.  It’s an ROI that’s unmatched by any other ebill or paperless approach.”
