Launches New Industry Pages to Provide Real-Time Insight from Exclusive Crowd-Sourced Market Data
SEATTLE, WA – October 24, 2013 – doxo, the digital file cabinet for all the key accounts in your life, announced today it has reached another company milestone by surpassing one million user accounts. Leveraging the crowd-sourced data generated by its user base, doxo has today activated its new Industry Pages, showing the most utilized businesses in any given US geography. This data will become more and more valuable as doxo and its user base grows.
“We’re of course very pleased to reach our first million user accounts. But we’re just getting started on our mission to simplify business and customer interaction,” said Steve Shivers, doxo co-founder and chief executive officer. “As the number of doxo users continues to grow, so does the depth and precision of our network data, uniquely mapping the different industry and geographic markets across the country.”
doxo Industry Pages are organized around seven primary industry groups. These pages show the service providers most listed by doxo Users in that area, and can be filtered at a national, state, or metro level; or by a specific service type. For example, the most active Utilities can be viewed for any state or key metro, and can be further filtered to view the electric, gas, water & sewer, or other services within that industry.
doxo Industry Pages currently cover these seven markets:
The companies on the Industry Pages consist of all the providers added by doxo users. If a user doesn’t find one of their providers in the doxo directory, they simply add that company and its profile to their doxo list and that company is included in the directory thereafter. To date, doxo users have added more than 25,000 unique businesses, in nearly 16,000 cities, across more than 22,000 zip codes. Of all the businesses added by doxo users, approximately 5% are national providers, and 95% serve regional or local markets.
“The shift to network driven interaction is reshaping the internet,” said Shivers. “Whether a business is already using doxo to connect with its customers, or hasn’t yet joined the network, doxo expands the ways they gain business intelligence and understand their markets, customer activity, and surrounding business ecosystem.”
