Boston is a city bent on winning and thankfully, they didn’t have to wait 86 years for this title. The Massachusetts capital ranked as the number one “Most Organized City” of the 25 largest US Metros, based on the doxo Organization Index (dOI) which analyzes key organization indicators including a city’s propensity for recycling, fighting junk mail, and prompt filing of tax returns, with special bonus points for the most organized sock drawers. Beantown residents scored 97.7 out of 100 total points on the Index to bring home the title of most organized city. Residents of Houston, TX, on the other hand, seem to be dealing with relatively high disarray in their lives this tax season, coming in at the number 25 spot with a score of only 57.3. A new ranking by doxo, an e-payment solution site and “digital filing cabinet” looked at the most organized cities in the U.S., and found (surprise, surprise) that Bean Towners are among the most obsessive-compulsive in the nation when it comes to detail-oriented tasks like on-time tax filing.
